Sound BodyWorks was founded in 2000 by Becky Clark, a former high school and middle school band director of 8 years, who knows a few things about stress and the effects it can have on the body if left unchecked.

Becky Clark, LMT #27523
Becky has been a massage therapist, licensed by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services since 2001. She graduated from the The Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage, with over 550 hours of study in multiple disciplines such as: Structural analysis and bodywork, sports massage, Zen Shiatsu, Swedish relaxation, and hydrotherapy. She has increased her total hours to over 800 by studying: Zero Balancing, on-site chair massage, Qi Gong, natural nutrition, and The MyoKinesthetic System, as well as various massage techniques to improve range of motion in the shoulder girdle and neck. Becky uses her knowledge to integrate these techniques in order to best serve her clients' needs.
Becky received her Bachelor's degree in instrumental Music Education from The University of Texas at Austin in 1992. She considers herself a recovering band director with a choral habit! She enjoys singing in various community choirs (including Conspirare Symphonic Choir) in her spare time. A lifelong athlete, she was a rower for the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a three - time Gold medalist for Row Team Austin at the 1998 Unity Games in Amsterdam. Currently, she enjoys riding her bicycle, walking her dog, working out with kettlebells, being trained by Anthony Brown, and doing bodyweight exercises to stay balanced.
